Newcastle United are battling AS Roma for Olympique Marseille attacker Andre Ayew.
The Ghana international, off contract in June, has a pre-contract offer on the table from Newcastle.
The deal tabled by the Magpies is for four years and has turned Ayew’s head.
However, he is also in talks with Roma, with his father, Abedi Pele, visiting Italy last week for meetings with Serie A clubs.
It’s understood Roma most impressed Pele during his tour of Italy.
