The curtains are set to close on the 2024 Nigeria Women Football League Premiership season in grand style! The much-anticipated Naija Women Football Awards (NWFL Awards) are here to recognize and celebrate the season’s outstanding performers, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
This elaborate ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State – the heart of the ongoing NWFL Premiership Championship playoffs.
The most coveted award of the night? The prestigious “Player of the Season” title. But that’s not all! Awards will also be handed out in various categories, including:
- Coach of the Season
- Club of the Year
- Best Midfielder
- Best Defender
- Best Attacker
- Team of the Season
Special recognition will be given to the Administrator of the Season, and the Women’s Football Special Awards will honor the honourable Commissioners for Youth and Sport of Bayelsa, Rivers, Nasarawa, and Edo States.
