Struggling Hearts of Oak striker Foovi Aguidi has been handed a call-up by Togo coach Tom Saintfiet for next month’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Aguidi’s four goals in 11 Ghana Premier League appearances have convinced the Belgian trainer.
The lanky forward has struggled to find his feet since joining the Phobians and was voted the club’s worst signing after the end of the first half of the season by fans on social media.
Aguidi is the second foreign import at Hearts to be invited by his national team with goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye called by Burkina Faso.
